Tyler's Room

I painted this 360-degree mural for Tyler Lynne's room, based on the animation from Pascal Campion for the They Might Be Giants song "What is a Shooting Star?" from the album "Here Comes Science".

         
   

Calacas

Disneyland decided that they wanted add some Dia De Los Muertos decor to their "HalloweenTime" in 2007 and I was hired to build three life size mariachi calacas and one 10' tall lady calaca.

The first step of building the calacas was to have my husband weld steel skeletons for them.   The bodies of the skeletons were carved out of foam.   The bodies of the skeletons were carved out of foam.   After the foam was resin-coated for strength, the calacas were painted.   After the foam was resin-coated for strength, the calacas were painted.

Logan's Room

I painted this 360-degree mural for Logan's nursery, based on the design motifs in her baby quilts and bedding.

         

Zach's Room

Based on designs from Zach's quilt and bedding, with painted dunes and palms in background, and painted surfboards cut out and applied to the wall.

         

A Midsummer Night's Dream

In the summer of 2007 Dana Point Coastal Arts had their annual production of Shakespeare in the park. This year the show was "A Midsummer Night's Dream" set on a desert island. They asked me to design and paint a set that reflected their tribal "beachy" theme.

Sponge Bob

I was contracted to paint a Sponge Bob Square Pants photo op for Universal Studios in 2004.

Buena Vista Pictures Special Events Art Department

I have been working for BVSE since November of 2005 doing prop and set construction, scenic painting, and graphics.

I was asked to create a model for the premier of Disney and Pixar's Cars at the Lowe's Motor Speedway in Charlotte North Carolina on May 26th 2006 so that everone planning the event could get a feel for the scale. The tiny specs on the racetrack are actual cars. The model is roughly 3'wide x 2'deep and is at 1/500 scale.   I worked on building the decor for Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man's Chest at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood.   I helped build hundreds of trash cubes and painted a 200 foot long trash heap mural for the world premier of the Pixar film Wall-E at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles.   I designed the graphics for this cute window for Toy Story at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood.   I built the presents for Kermit the Frog and his puppeteer for the tree lighting ceremony at Macy's in Boston.  
I built this set for the stage show preceding Underdog at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood with Kyra Sundance and Chalcy.   I built this rock for Ariel to sit on during an event at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood.   I designed the graphics for this window for The Nightmare Before Christmas at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood.   I was asked to build a white model of Tom Sawyer's Island and the set for the world premier of Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man's Chest during the planning of the event.   I did the layout for the graphic that went on the windows of the Orange County Convention Center for the D23 convention.  

Wedding

My husband and I designed and built a 360 degree set for our wedding in October of 2005.

I painted these two portraits for the set for Oliver! at University High School, Irvine CA.

     

Freelance

I frequently work as a freelance set designer and scenic artist.

I was contracted by Gothic Moon Productions to paint this fake Hydraulic Crusher for an event.   I painted this set for a Rockwell infomercial.   I was contracted by Zoe Productions in Orange County to paint these two large murals for the annual meeting for Pacific Life Insurance company.   I painted this billboard for the Orange County Auto Museum at the Orange County Fairgrounds in 2001.  

Reeds Hotel and Casino

In 2002 I was hired to paint murals in a casino room in a private residence.

Alice in Wonderland

In 2005 we painted an Alice in Wonderland themed border in the bedroom of a sweet little girl named Alice.

Educational Theatre

I frequently design sets for both High School and College productions and then I assist in the construction and painting of those sets.

I designed the set for Alice in Wonderland and oversaw the student construction and paint crews.   I designed this set for 101 Dalmations and oversaw the student construction and paint crews.   I designed and painted this set for Upland High School's 2002 production of Arsenic and Old Lace. The door shown at right started as a flat door with no paneling and has been painted to look like a wood paneled door.   I designed and students built and painted this set for You're a Good Man Charlie Brown at Claremont High School in 2004.   I designed and students built and painted this set for Tesoro High School's production of Das Barbecu in 2004.  
In 2003 I designed and built this set for Upland High School's production of Little Shop of Horrors   I designed and students built and painted the set and props for Once Upon a Mattress at Bridges Auditorium for Claremont High School in 2005.   I designed and built this set for Claremont High School's 2005 production of Metamorphoses. We built this thrust stage and pool for the show which included three running fountains and 350 gallons of water.   I designed and students built and painted the set for Winnie the Pooh in the spring of 2006 at Claremont High School.   I designed and painted this change-able set for Upland High School's 2002 production called Shorts which was a collection of 6 short plays.
